Kim Kardashian has revealed that her debut single, “Turn it up” will be launched soon, as little as 3 weeks! Kim made the revelation while on the red carpet at the 2011 Grammys, telling an MTV reporter about the upcoming release.

Kim had Kanye West and hip hop producer “The Dream” helping her create the song, which she shared in a sneak preview with fans a few weeks ago at a night club. The video was shot with the help of experienced video producer Hype Williams.

Kim told MTV: “[It' s coming out] in about three weeks,I’m so excited.” and the single will be out “in a couple of weeks,”, but the video will be previewed on the reality TV show Kourtney & Kim Take New York.

Kardashian admitted that recording the song was very difficult but she had some friends cheering her on. She commented: “You know it was something that I was really uncomfortable and nervous about, and [The-Dream] really just wanted me to step outside of my box and try something I’ve never done before, So I was really honest. I’m like, ‘You’re not gonna get Beyoncé here, you’re not gonna get Celine Dion,’ and he really pulled something out of me … I was just so nervous.”

Kim has also confirmed that this is not the start of a musical career but a one off to raise money for cancer research.

It’s a big start to the year for Kim Kardashian as she shared her new single with the party goers at the Tao nightclub to bring in 2011.

Immediately after doing the new years eve countdown, she announced the song and even sang along. According to a source at the party, “Fans screamed and snapped photos of Kim as she partied to her new song,”

There were also video cameras present to shoot scenes at the club, which will be used in the video clip. Kanye West will also make an appearance in the video clip apparently.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West having been hanging out together again, and yesterday the location for the hangout was a recording studio, sparking rumors about Kim Kardashian’s first album. Numerous blogs have suggested that Kim is in fact working on her first record with Kanye West and her tweeting and their close relationship might indicate that is true!

Kris Jenner, Kardashian’s mother, also turned up to support her daughter as she was possibly taking the dramatic leap from reality TV and sex tape star to singer. We say possibly, because there is also a chance she is in fact just doing backing vocals for a Kanye West track, and not her own album.

Kim was pretty casually dressed as she arrived at the studio, different to the usual glammed up Kim Kardashian we see around the streets of LA. Kardashian tweeted about her exciting day: “OMG u guys have no idea what I’m doing today! You are gonna DIE!!!! OMGGGG I’m nervous!!!!!!”

Later she tweeted: “Its going down in here!!! Will twitpic soon! I’m turning it ooooonnnn!!!!” she later added. “What should my alter ego name be? What an amazing day!!! I’m finished for today…but we have a few more to go! Can’t twitpic just yet but will soon! Feels so good to overcome a fear!”

Kim certainly has the looks to be a pop star, but the talent? It’s hard to say. Stay tuned!

Apparently Kim Kardashian is interested in diversifying her career and getting more involved in music! In a new rumor, it is suggested that Kim Kardashian is going to record a debut album with a numnber of pop songs.

A number of rumors about the album are floating around including one involving Milli Vanilli. Apparently Milli Vanilli will be involved in producing the album because Kardashian is a big fan of their music. Milli was quoted as saying: “All she needs to do is move those full, luscious lips to the words and shake that booty in a couple of music videos, and this thing goes platinum”

That particular rumor is fairly dodgy, but another rumor indicates that well known producer and writer “The-Dream” may be involved in the recording. The-Dream has worked with Beyonce and Rihanna in the past, so definitely knows how to get a hit song.

Apparently they are recording already and one person inside the studio says: “Kim’s got a really good voice.”
